The episode begins with Eddie, Anna, Maggie, and Gary going on a double-date dinner. The event is to celebrate Maggie & Gary moving in together. The dinner, however, is sabotaged as Anna runs into an old friend of hers. The said friend later turns out to be dating Anna’s ex-Husband, Peter Benoit. Anna is visibly angry at this point as Peter sexually assaulted Sophie, and she wants better for Carly. The interaction gets heated, and Gary threatens Peter so that he leaves; the group leaves too shortly.
Things are looking up for Rome and Tyrell as they both get good news in this episode. Rome gets a new job offer as a Teacher at Sussex Prep School. Tyrell is initially sad about learning of the rejection from the University of Southern California but gets into Yale. We see a moment of bonding between the father and son duo. This alone is not an emotional moment in the episode as we see Danny and Sophie have their moment. They reminisce and the memories of their father.
The episode seems to be following a theme of estranged couples as Greta runs into her wife while visiting Katherine. The incident causes tension between the team, but all seems well. We also see Eddie having thoughts about his love and passion for music. We’ll have to wait for A Million Little Things Season 4 Episode 17 to see things through if things go well.
