However, Mbappe’s mother, who also acts as his agent, has denied these reports. She declares it untrue that Kylian Mbappe will sign a new bumper PSG contract and ditch Madrid. Kylian Mbappe to sign a new bumper PSG deal: Does Real Madrid stay a dream?

In the summer of 2021, Mbappe handed in the proposal to leave PSG for a transfer to Madrid. Although that did not materialize, it has since seemed like a matter of time before the move happens. But with the possibility of PSG’s bumper new deal on the table and Mbappe perhaps ditching Madrid, the situation has taken a sensational turn. Reliable football journalist Fabrizio Romano has clarified that no agreement exists yet. His Instagram post states that “Kylian’s still thinking about the best step for his career between Real and PSG, for sure Paris are pushing to get the deal done, but there’s still no final decision.”.

What seemed like a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’ has been quashed with this news of Kylian Mbappe possibly ditching a move to Real Madrid with PSG’s new bumper contract on offer. The PSG hierarchy has consistently reiterated their efforts to keep the 23-year-old home-grown talent at the club. Whether or not those efforts come to fruition remains to be seen at the end of the season.
