Rafael Nadal is the 2022 French Open winner. He won the title by beating Casper Ruud of Norway. It marks his 14th French Open title and his 22nd Grand Slam. Notably, he won his first French Open at 19 years of age. Nadal is now the oldest French Open winner. Also, he has won this competition for the most number of times. Besides, he vowed to keep fighting after his win.

Furthermore, Iga Swiatek won her second French Open title on Saturday. She beat Coco Gauff in the final with 6-1, 6-3. Also, she is the current world no.1 in women’s tennis. Garcia and Mladenovic won the women’s doubles final in the 2022 French Open. It is their second title in this event. Notably, both of them hail from France. Their teamwork was there for all to see. Besides, they beat the team of Gauff and Pegula for this win. The men’s doubles went to the pair of Roger and Arevalo. They became the oldest doubles champs in the history of the Open era.

However, his run to the final was not a smooth ride this time. He faced long-time rival Djokovic in the quarters in a match that lasted over 4 hours. In the semis, his opponent Zverev got badly injured mid-game. Nevertheless, Nadal is the rightful winner of the 2022 French Open.

The world no.1 Iga Swiatek beat Coco Gauff in the women’s French Open final. The Polish star looked in complete control of the game. It only took her an hour and eight minutes to get the win. Besides, this marks her second Grand Slam title. At 21, she promises a big career in the sport.
