During the trial, she mentioned that she knew her husband would be enraged because of the filing of the divorce. She also mentioned that her husband, Fotis Dulos, would use some tricks to retaliate.

During her marriage, Fotis has also told Jennifer about his ways of causing pain to those who have hurt him. Jennifer wanted emergency custody of the children but was provided with joint custody. Later, in 2018, she got complete custody of the kids. Fotis was charged for unpaid loans by his mother-in-law, Gloria Farber, after the death of Jennifer’s father, Hilliard Farber. He owed a total amount of $1.7 million to Hilliard.

Jennifer’s Disappearance

Jennifer was last seen on May 24, 2019. She was returning home after dropping her children at school. Her return was captured on her neighbor’s security camera. In the evening, around 7 p.m., she was reported missing to the authorities by her friends and family. People around knew her very well, and they also knew that she was not someone who would abandon her children.

Authorities found it strange, and after digging into the matter, some pieces of evidence of assault were found in her case. Her car was found stranded in Waveny Park’s nearby area. It was covered in blood. Jennifer’s garage at home also had traces of blood.

After blood was found in her car and its garage, police immediately started searching for the woman. They started their investigation by checking the surveillance videos of the area. While going through the videos, police found her husband, Fotis Dulos, engaged in some very suspicious activity.

In the video, Fotis was found disposing of bags in trash cans on Albany Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut, along with a woman. After investigating those bags, clothes of Jennifer’s size, ponchos, and zip-ties were found. The articles which were retrieved from the trash can had Jennifer’s DNA all over them. After this investigation, detectives concluded that Jennifer was a victim of homicide.

Trial of Fotis Dulos

Michelle Troconis, the woman who helped Fotis Dulos in the homicide of his ex-wife, was the alleged girlfriend of Fotis. According to reports submitted by ABC News, Fotis and Michelle were accused of ‘tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and hindering prosecution’ on June 1, 2019.

Both Fotis and Michelle were put behind bars for killing Jennifer and erasing all the pieces of evidence. On January 8, 2020, they got out of jail for maintaining their innocence, but Fotis didn’t show up for an emergency bail hearing. Later, he was found unconscious in his garage and died two days after, on January 30, 2020.

A suicide note was found along with his unconscious body. In the note, he mentioned that he had nothing to do with Jennifer’s homicide case and refused to spend a single hour in jail for something which he didn’t do. He also mentioned that Michelle also had nothing to do with the same.

All the charges against Fotis were dismissed on March 3, 2020. But Michelle Troconis is still being charged over this case. Even after all these years of Jennefir’s sudden disappearance, the exact cause is not known.
