RFK Jr. Retreats: Celeb Guests Distance Themselves, Leaving Birthday Bash in Limbo

Well, it turns out the birthday celebrant himself isn’t keen on having a birthday party after all! In our recent coverage, we highlighted that a political action committee (PAC) supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign had publicized an extravagant birthday bash for the candidate, boasting a star-studded guest list. However, it seems the alleged guests were quick to disassociate themselves from the event, vehemently stating that they had no intention of attending.

Now, the latest update reveals that Kennedy himself won’t be partaking in the festivities either. The initial promises from the PAC included a performance by the renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli and appearances by well-known figures such as Mike Tyson, Dionne Warwick, and Martin Sheen at the bash scheduled for January 22 in Indian Wells, California.

However, every single one of these supposed guests has explicitly denied any involvement in the birthday party turned fundraiser. Warwick, for instance, emphatically stated, “No, I’m not attending. No, I’m not backing him. No, no, and no!” Her representative, in bold email text, clarified, “Ms. Warwick has NO association or affiliation whatsoever with Senator Robert F. Kennedy Jr. She will not nor will [she ever] attend any events or fundraisers in connection with [RFK Jr.].”

Sheen, previously claimed as a guest, took to Instagram to endorse President Joe Biden, while Tyson’s representative seemed a bit perplexed, clarifying that Tyson was invited to RFK’s birthday celebration but not a fundraiser, which he cannot attend.

A representative for the Kennedy campaign distanced themselves from the fiasco, attributing the event to the PAC and asserting they had no knowledge of the attendees. On Monday, the campaign confirmed that Kennedy would not be attending the PAC event on January 22.

Despite previous promises from the PAC about announcing performers and celebrity guests, as of Monday, there has been no comment on whether the event will be canceled. The PAC’s founders questioned about the potential cancellation, remained tight-lipped.
