The announcement of Charles’s diagnosis, at the age of 75, came from the palace on Monday, signaling a challenging turn less than 18 months into his reign. “As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement,” Charles acknowledged.

Moreover, the king remarked on the heartening aspect of his diagnosis shedding light on organizations dedicated to supporting cancer patients both in Britain and internationally.

Despite his health concerns, Charles made a public appearance on Sunday, attending church alongside his wife, Camilla. Draped in a brown overcoat and accompanied by an umbrella, the king waved to onlookers upon their arrival at St Mary Magdalene church in Sandringham, located in eastern England.
