Chinese Nationals Surge Over the Border – Not a Crisis, but an Invasion

The recent increase in Chinese nationals illegally crossing the southern border has shifted the narrative surrounding the ongoing border crisis, highlighting it as not just a crisis but a full-fledged invasion.

While the Biden administration has often attributed the border crisis to a surge of migrants from unstable Latin American countries, Chinese migrants have emerged as the fastest-growing group taking advantage of the porous southern U.S. border.

Border Patrol agents in San Diego reported encounters with 269 Chinese nationals in a single day. Since the beginning of the 2024 fiscal year, over 20,000 Chinese nationals have been apprehended crossing into the U.S. via the southern border, with some reportedly aided by the Chinese Communist Party-linked app TikTok.

This number is nearing the total of 24,000 Chinese border crossers apprehended in the entire 2023 fiscal year and is a significant increase from the 450 arrests made during President Biden’s first year in office.

While not all Chinese border crossers may be linked to the Communist Party, the possibility of CCP operatives infiltrating the U.S. among the millions of illegal border crossers cannot be overlooked.

Border Patrol chiefs have expressed concerns about the overwhelming number of foreign illegal border crossers, highlighting the potential risks to national security.

Chief patrol agents have noted that the influx of Chinese migrants has slowed the interview process, making it challenging to vet individuals thoroughly.

Despite these challenges, CBP does not turn away Chinese nationals but instead buses them to various locations in the U.S. and schedules immigration court dates that are often years away.

Some of these Chinese nationals have been found to be affiliated with the People’s Liberation Army and the Chinese Communist Party.

Communist China’s influence extends beyond border crossings, as it has exploited Biden’s lax policies to smuggle large quantities of fentanyl into the U.S. Fentanyl, a highly potent and lethal drug, has been responsible for poisoning hundreds of thousands of Americans.

CBP seized 27,000 pounds of fentanyl in 2023, nearly twice the amount seized in 2022. Cartels, funded by investors linked to the Chinese Communist Party, play a significant role in smuggling fentanyl and producing precursor chemicals in Asia.

The situation at the southern border is not just a humanitarian crisis but also a national security threat, with Communist China exploiting the open borders to further its agenda.

Addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive approach that includes strengthening border security and addressing the root causes of illegal migration and drug trafficking.
