Russia is mad at Britain’s ambassador. This happened after the UK embassy said stuff about Russia’s recent presidential election on social media. The election was on March 15-17.

The UK embassy’s social media posts discussed concerns about how the election happened in four places in Ukraine that Russia took over in 2022. They also mentioned Crimea. Russia says these places are theirs, but other countries don’t agree. The election still happened, and Vladimir Putin won with over 87% of the votes.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry said the UK’s posts were “unacceptable propaganda.” They accused the UK of trying to mess up the election in these areas that Russia took control of. Russia sees this as the UK interfering in their business and trying to change who wins elections.

The country also said the UK broke the rules of how countries should act with each other, according to the Vienna Convention. They said the UK’s actions go against how diplomats should behave and mess with how countries talk to each other.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry also discussed how the Russian people seem to support Putin and his work. They think the British ambassador should focus on problems in the UK instead, especially what they called a “power crisis.”

This situation shows that Russia and Britain are still not getting along. They disagree about who controls what land and how diplomats should act.
