According to reports, the demonstration, which included bereaved and hostage families, became heated when Kedem and his wife Reuma were verbally attacked by supporters of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.

The attackers reportedly hurled insults and derogatory remarks at the couple, with one individual allegedly physically assaulting Reuma. In response, Kedem intervened, pushing the assailant briefly before himself becoming the target of violence.
Video footage circulating on social media purportedly captured audio of one of the suspects bragging about assaulting Kedem. Despite this evidence, one suspect involved in the assault has reportedly not been arrested, raising concerns about the handling of the case.
While police have detained two individuals suspected of the assault on Kedem, one of them was reportedly released at the scene. Meanwhile, Kedem was taken to the hospital for medical treatment following the altercation.
The Kedem family’s tragic loss, with the deaths of their daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and Jonathan’s mother in the terrorist attack, has undoubtedly left scars that will never fully heal.
