For music and K-Pop fans, Onew is a very familiar name. This South Korean actor and singer is a very influential figure in K-Pop. Born as Lee-Jin-Ki and famously known as Onew, the leader of the South Korean boy band ‘SHINee,’ started his career in 2008 with SM Entertainment.
His resume boasts of super hit songs and rap songs besides his role in the boy band and acting career. He released his first extended play, “Voice,” on December 5, 2018, which ranked at No.2 on South Korea’s Circle Album Chart. His second Extended Play, “Dice,” ranked up to No 3 on Circle Album Chart.
Onew played the role of Baek Su in “Welcome to Royal Villa” by JTBC and Lee Chi-hoon (resident) in the famous show “Descendants of the Sun” (2016) by KBS2, which garnered attention worldwide. He also appeared in various other shows and musicals like Rock of Ages (2010), Shinheung Military Academy (2019), and Midnight Sun (2021–2022).
