One year later, he organized the first major rock charity performance, which was called the Concert for Bangladesh. It consisted of shows that took place at Madison Garden and were intended to collect money for the country of Bangladesh, which was suffering due to war.

After many albums were released independently, the group resurfaced with 1981’s Somewhere in England. One of the songs on the album was a memorial to John Lennon. He had been killed in 1980 by a mentally ill fan.

Harrison played guitar among swaying equipment in the music video for the piece. He formed Traveling Wilburys in 1988 and got to taste success on the charts. Harrison sold the production rights to the British comedies Monty Python’s Life of Brian and Time Bandits in 1994. Harrison was stabbed by an intruder in the year 1999. Also affected was Olivia, his second wife.
