He reacted to it in the best way he could, which was why he got far ahead despite having no way to attack. He had the most significant change in his character after Ost’s death. The effect of this will be explored in Shield Hero season 2, Episode 9, and beyond.
The last few episodes had a soft nostalgic touch to them, while the earlier episode of shield hero while dark had an excellent vibe. We see Naofumi, and the crew reverted to level one with no good gear on them; they had no choice but to be on the road. Though that doesn’t last long, having a good chunk of experience from the past, he quickly turns the problem into an opportunity. This will help explore the new world’s cultures in Episode 9 of the Shield Hero season 2 and beyond. But this time, Naofumi is losing old allies rather than making new ones.

Episode 9 of the Shield Hero season 2 will start with Nofumi at his most vulnerable place. Naofumi is left with Kizuna and Rishia in an unknown place with little to no knowledge of where to go. Kyo abducted Raphtalia for experimentation. And there is no doubt he has also gotten Filo captive for his experiments. How will Noafumi deal with this? He has matured a long way away from anger, but Kyo prays on that aspect. Kyo has tried to enrage over and over for laughs. He takes personal enjoyment in seeing him suffer. He does so is not clear, but we may get more hints as to why in Episode 9 of the Shield Hero season 2.
Meanwhile, Rishia and Kizune are in a place to console Naofumi, but both of them are strangers to him. It would be a good opportunity for them to get closer and explore their character to further. We have also yet to meet the other vassal heroes of the world other than Kizuna. They have not been seen or heard of ever since they came here. Perhaps they will make an appearance next.

What is The Rising Of The Shield Hero about?
Rising of the Shield Hero starts as Naofumi is transported to another world while reading a random book in his college Library. Excited about the prospect of being transported to another world, he is enthralled and wants to live out the fantasy of the chosen one. He is not the only one. However, he meets three more people summoned just like him. He learns that the world is not filled with fantastic journeys but corrupted people with schemes. As Naofumi loses his good name and is ridiculed for the crime he didn’t commit, he must face obstacles to keep himself alive and recruit allies that make up for his lack of strength.
