Anime is currently the third-largest industry in Japan right now. Anime is any mass-produced animation that can be in Japanese or Non-Japenese too. Gone are the days when animated series were linked only to children’s series. Although the genre was popularised with shows like Digimon and Dragon Ball Z which are primarily not too mature in their content and are based on fantastical elements. But now, anime culture has established its roots and has become one of the fastest-growing industries ever. The contents of anime are also based on very dark and mature themes which sometimes have a very high age rating.
Anime was once a popular industry only in Japan with a very people knowing its existence in the West. But with time, people have started realizing the sheer beauty and the scope of the anime culture and it is spreading. Shows like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Attack on Titan, Death Note, and Cowboy Bebop are also very famous among adults who are dedicated, anime watchers. People eagerly wait for animes to be available in their country in English subtitles. Japan has come to associate with anime for loyal viewers. Read on to know about a brand new anime RWBY Ice Queendom and when and where to watch it.
What is RWBY: Ice Queendom about?
The show is set in a world of Remnant, humans, and Faunus. The human-animal hybrid lives in this fantastical world and continues to live in their world while continuously being threatened by the horror of the monster Grimm. Grimm is a monstrous entity that plagues the lives of the people. The Huntsmen and huntresses of this world try to ward off the monster Grimm by using their own traditional weapons and what they call semblances, the energy that is derived from the soul of the people’s bodies.
Elsewhere, there is a Beacon Academy in the Kingdom of Vale where a team called the RWBY makes their debut as the future huntresses. The girls in the Academy are all excellent in their strengths and thus pit against each other often. But their combined strengths can be used to fight off the veils of the monster Grimm. There are also evil shadows at work which the girls will have to fight off and emerge victorious in the end.
Where to Watch RWBY: Ice Queendom?
The show is produced by Warner Bros. Japan, Good Smile Company, KLab, Bandai Namco Arts, Bandai Namco Filmworks, and Bandai Namco Music Live and is currently rated PG-13 which means it will be available to stream for teens of age 13 and above. The official channel for RWBY: Ice Queendom did an official YouTube live stream from June 24 at 8:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. EDT) until June 26 at 11:59 p.m. (10:59 a.m. EDT). However, the live stream was only available in Japan.

Those of you who missed the live stream, don’t worry! The show will officially premiere on July 3 on Tokyo MX and BS11, and on July 5 on MBS. Crunchyroll will also premiere the anime with English as well as Japanese subtitles. The series might get a release in India too, but there is no further information on that.
