Wakame Konbu has written and illustrated the manga series The Maid I Hired Recently is Mysterious. The Japanese name for this anime is “Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii.” Initially, in 2019, this series was a webcomic. This was before the serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan joker magazine in January 2020. The entire series is compiled in five tankōbon volumes as of February 2022. The Maid I Hired Recently is Mysterious episode 2 will be released soon. Silver Link and Blade are the ones who made this series into an animation. The anime premiered in July 2022.
The show’s characters are Yuuri, Lilith, Fujisaki, Natsume Nakashima, and Tsukasa Gojouin. The anime’s plot is about how Lilith, a beautiful maid, is hired to take care of Yuuri. Yuuri is skeptical of her and thus keeps her on the edge as he believes something is being planned behind his back. Despite all of this, Lilith still grows fond of Yuuri. She is often seen teasing him as a part of bonding with him.

This episode outright gives us a warm and sweet comfort vibe. From its cute character dynamics to its soft character stories, it is feel-good in its kind of way. The episode was full of laughs, keeping suspicious of the new maid. It’s adorable how a child Yuuri has his theories in the episode about the maid. Yuuri keeps denying his obvious attraction for the maid as some kind of love potion.
We were confused about Lilith’s shyness when Yuuri called him cute. We couldn’t fathom going around such a big play to know the maid’s name when Yuuri has her as a stay-at-home maid. The first episode was much more about setting the premise for the season. Now that it is done, we are sure there is a lot yet to come- which will be entertaining and unraveling simultaneously.
