Hocus Pocus 2- Filming Locations
The movie is shot in and around Rhode Island. The first location is the Cranston Street Armory. The space was specially chosen for its high ceilings, which could give room for the witches to fly. It will also be easier for the special effects team to work in a vast space.
A replica of Salem, Massachusetts, is created at Lincoln’s Chase Farm park. As the movie is set in modern-day Salem, it is natural that the crew devises a replica of the place. The village remains a backup in case the team decides to shoot something extra for the movie.
La Salle Academy, a Catholic school on providence street, is another location where the movie’s cast has been spotted filming. What better than a cemetery to shoot a film about magic and Witches? The nighttime scenes need more magic which is patent to the Hocus Pocus movies. These scenes were shot at Lakeside-Carpenter Cemetery in the Rumford section of East Providence.
