Multitalented and eccentric Jordan Peele is an American Actor, comedian, and filmmaker. He is best known for his extensive work in the comedy and horror genres. Peele was born and raised on the Upper West Side of New York City by his single mother.
Peele went to Sarah Lawrence College, where he met Rebecca Drysdale. Subsequently, they both actualized their passion and dropped out of college to form the comedy duo famously known as Key & Peele today. Peele made a breakthrough in 2003 when he was hired as a cast member on the Fox sketch comedy series “Mad TV.”
Subsequently, he spent five seasons leaving the show in 2008. Peele has a knack for horror filmmaking as well. Furthermore, his work was heavily influenced by horror classics like The Shining, Rosemary’s Baby, Night of the Living Dead, Candyman, Scream, The Silence of the Lambs, Funny Games, Misery, and The People Under the Stairs. As a comedian, his art is heavily influenced by Richard Pryor, Dave Chappelle, Steve Martin, Martin Lawrence, and In Living Color.
Jordan Peele has been nominated for four Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, the Best Original Screenplay for “Get Out,” which he won, and the Best Picture nomination for “BlackKklansman.” In 2017, Peele shook the cinematic world with his debut “Get Out,” which became a box office and acclaimed success.
