Season 2 of Sanditon will premiere in less than a month, so grab your sun hats and tea to celebrate. Not only that, but unlike Season 1, which launched in the US five months after the UK, this time both American and UK fans will be able to watch the hit series at the same time. Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) and Georgiana Lambe (Crystal Clarke) will once again scandalize British society in the seaside village of Sanditon in Series 2.
Sanditon is based on the final – and unfinished – novel by world-famous novelist Jane Austen. Sanditon, like other series before it, used up the stories from the source material and then went its own way, and while Season 1 had already strayed from Austen’s manuscript, Season 2 will be the first-time showrunner, and two-time Emmy winner Andrew Davies has completed creative control over the characters and arcs.
PBS Masterpiece released a teaser trailer in January, and while it didn’t talk much about the narrative, it did suggest that Charlotte and Georgiana will improve their friendship, surprise suitors, and make it apparent that neither of them has any ambitions to leave Sanditon anytime soon.

Sanditon Season 2 Release Date
