With Demon Slayer entertainment district arc having ended. The anime was so good such that it generated more popularity for the already ended manga as well. The anime producers did not waste any time, and right after that, they announced the adaptation of the wordsmith village arc. Kyojuro Rengoku: 20 Years

He played a pivotal role when he discovered a fatally injured Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro in the aftermath of the entertainment district arc. As the 97th leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kagaya appears to be too young for his role. But he has fulfilled it and managed to accomplish what has taken over a millennium to achieve. The last Hashira to appear in the anime as we saw his capabilities during the Entertainment district arc. Tengen Uzui seemed to have mastered his skills and was a capable Hashira as he managed to survive the harshest fight we have seen in the anime. Gyomei appears as the largest in body size amongst the Hashira, and this fits his title as the Stone Hashira. Looking into the ages of the demons, they live more years compared to humans as they can easily live over a hundred years old. The oldest demon slayer to be known lived for around eighty years at his best. And at that, his skills have dwindled to a point were he was finally defeated in battle.

It is surprising how easily demons managed to kill Hashiras, but to Muzan, this was nothing surprising. As the second upper-rank demon, Doma is amongst the most powerful of the upper-rank demons, only one place below Michikatsu. And with over a hundred years of experience then, this makes him more formidable. With demons, age doesn’t really mean that they are more powerful, but it is how much of Muzan’s blood they can take that determines their overall powers.

All the breathing techniques in the story are derived from the Sun breathing technique that Yochiiro, Kokushibo’s twin brother, created several hundred years ago. And as his counterpart, Kokushibo combines his own breathing techniques with his demon powers, and this has enabled him to hone his skills for more than 450 years that he has lived.

Muzan was the very first demon as he was born frail and with a curse that would not see him live over 20 years of age. And due to his fear of death. He went around looking for a way that could cure his illnesses, and when he finally came across a cure that worked, it ended up turning him into a demon as a side effect. His weaknesses only remained to be direct sunlight, so this would leave him fully operational only during the night.

This developed from Muzan’s fear of death, and when he finally found ways to live longer, he never wanted to die. Muzan Kibutsuji

As the progenitor of the demons, Muzan was born and became a demon in the early 900s during the Heian Period, and this explains why he has lived over a millennium.

Due to his demeanor, immorality, and abusive manner. Muzan used to have five wives who ended up committing suicide. His treatment was so cruel and harsh such that they would end up mentally disturbed.

The Ubuyashiki family that Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the demon slayer corps in the anime. Is the descendants of Muzan’s original blood relatives. The family was cursed with an unknown incurable and untreatable genetic disease that would kill their family member before turning 30 years.
