Annabelle learns of Jacob and Naomi’s extracurricular activities in the meanwhile. Naomi tries to explain to Annabelle that she didn’t want to put her in danger, but Annabelle says it’s not her decision. Later, during her parents’ party, Jacob suggests to Naomi that she make amends with Annabelle by making a cheesy Lord of the Rings remark. When Annabelle arrives at the party, they reconcile. However, Jacob has bad news: the alien energy they’re seeking is currently at Naomi’s house, implying that one of the partygoers is a covert extraterrestrial.
