With the arrival of a new year, this year is yet to mark the introduction of new shows in the TV industry. Promos and announcement posters of various shows were released, and the fans are excited to witness some new stories on their screens. Last year didn’t prove to be successful for the entertainment industry, and a lot of popular shows went off-air due to the global health pandemic that affected a lot of viewership and shooting. But the upcoming year seems to be the one that is likely to witness the debut of many shows and might mark the renewal of pre-existing shows too. One such upcoming show is Pandya Store.
In the list of shows that’ll make their debut this year, ‘Pandya Store’ stands first in the queue. The promo of the show was released in December and is likely to go on air by the end of January. The show will be broadcasted on Star Plus and will be available on Disney+ Hotstar for online streaming.
‘Pandya Store’ in the Hindi remake of a popular Tamil show, ‘Pandian Store,’ aired on Vijay TV. The show, however, was initially planned to have a remake under the title ‘Gupta Brothers’ that aired in October 2020. But suddenly, the show was shifted to Star Bharat, and the genre of the show was shifted from Drama to Comedy and some changes were made in the plot, and many characters were re-casted. However, the show didn’t manage to do well with its comedy notion and was again shifted to be a family drama series. The show follows the same plot as the initial Tamil show ‘Pandian Store’ with all the similarities that the former holds. A Marathi remake of the same has also been made under the title ‘Sahkutumb Sahparivar’ that runs on Star Parvah.

But the news that came as a surprise was ‘Pandian Store’ is up for yet another Hindi remake that is titled ‘Pandya store.’ The viewers will witness Shiny Doshi and Kinshuk Mahajan in lead roles. The story will revolve around a middle-class family who owns a general store. Gautam Pandya is the eldest son in his family and looks after the store with his wife, Dhara Pandya. Gautam has two younger brothers, and the couple looks after them like their own kids. Dhara is unwilling to have a kid on her own because she wants to fulfill her duties towards her brothers-in-law, who are very young and child-like for her.
The promo of the show witnessed the introduction of the main characters by a narration given by the store itself. The store in its narration tells us that Gautam has recently married Dhara, and it is their first day in the store. Gautam is worried, but Dhara is his constant support. She lightens hope in his heart and helps him overcome the difficulties.
The show will be a family drama. It will revolve around the Pandya Store that is put on a mortgage. The whole family is financially dependent on this store They’re worried about losing their store but believe that their unity will help them cope up with everything. The show will portray the ups and downs a family faces, be it financially or emotionally, but after a certain time rises again with each other’s support in difficult times.
Other than the lead roles, no official announcements of other cast members have been made yet. No confirmation regarding the premiere date has been specified as of now.
