The two have been set up by their families, and at first glance of Dimple, Rishi falls in love with her. While the two are just 18, Rishi believes in finding love in the early ages of life. On the contrary, Dimple hates being tied up with ropes of relationships and commitment. Dimple is a tech wizard who visits Aravalli Institute in Jaipur after enrolling herself in a 3 months course.

Being aware of this, Rishi, too, gets himself enrolled to find his ‘, future wife.’ Dimple is initially unaware of this setup and ignores Rishi. But eventually, the two start to share a blooming sense of relationship with each other. Dimple wants him to be her friend, while Rishi leaves no stone unturned to be her support and win her over. The coming of age young-adult rom-com follow the situations both undergo, standing at the pedestal of their newly found love for each other. While the first season was left at an interesting cliffhanger, you got to season the first season before getting into the possibility of the second.

2. Little Things

Starring Dhruv Sehgal and Mithila Palkar as Dhruv Vats and Kavya Kulkarni, the story follows the lives of a cohabitating couple who are in their mid-20s. Little Things portrays the ‘growing up’ and become ‘mature’ kind of phases that every person goes through in their mid-20s. It depicts two totally different people in love, living their lives, earning, and figuring out various aspects of life, be it their individual growth, their careers, their families, and the possibilities of their future together. It shows them being each other’s support when one of them is in any dilemma or confusion.

With a comic vibe surrounding the whole show, it beautifully manages to instill life lessons and how a relationship is made to work, balancing it with all the components that make up life as a whole. The 2012 Delhi Gang Rape case shook the entire nation to its core. An outburst of rage that prevailed against the attackers of a young girl hasn’t been doused in our hearts to date. While the entire nation prayed for the survival of the victim, there was very less time to catch hold of the culprits, the responsibility of which lied in the hands of the police department. At one hand, where a girl was fighting was each breath, the police were fighting to hang the men who pushed her into a bog of scars that would never heal.

The series follows the aftermath of the Delhi gang-rape case where Vartika Chaturvedi, Deputy Commissioner of Police and the protagonist of this series, along with her team, investigates to find the culprits of the girl who were responsible for her physical assaults that eventually led to her death after 12days. It depicts the struggles and a sensitive portrayal of a series of investigations that the police carried out to hang the assaulters of ‘Nirbhaya’ to death. It also shows, how amidst their investigations, they have to handle the nation’s anger, the political pressure, and the protests. 4. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl

Based on the early life of the female Air Force Pilot Gunjan Saxena, the film is an inspiring story that is worthy of being heard. Starring Janhvi Kapoor in the titular role, the features also stars Pankaj Tripathi in the character of Gunjan’s father, which is cheery on top of such an enthralling story. It follows the story of a young Gunjan who aims to be a pilot but is usually mocked by his brother, who feels the job is too laddish for a girl to pursue. But his father feels, “It doesn’t matter whether it’s a man or a woman flying the plane, they’re both called pilots.”

His father, being an army man, knows the values of dreams and aspirations and stands in support of her daughter. Her brother opposes her decision to join the Indian Air Force when she drops the idea of being a commercial pilot and accepts his father’s idea of pursuing her dream through the medium of defense. Then begins her journey of overcoming hurdles that come her way. She gracefully crosses all the barriers and becomes the “Kargil Girl” after serving her nation during the Kargil War.

5. Game Over

The psychological thriller film follows an interesting set of events in its entire stretch, mixing up real life with patterns of a video game. It stars Taapsee Pannu as the protagonist of the story, Swapna. She is a young and talented game designer who fears the darkness, suffers from post-traumatic stress as a result of the physical assault that she survived last year. Her parents kept blaming her and tagged her as the sole reason for rape. Being frustrated by it, she chose to live secluded with her maid Kalama. After a year of getting a pattern tattooed on her hand, it starts hurting her.

The doctors are sure there’s something connected to the tattoo that is causing her pain. On further investigation, Swapna comes to knows that the ink which was used for the tattoo mistakenly had ashes of a stranger. As the story proceeds, we come to know about a serial killer who aims at beheading young girls. To Swapna’s discovery, her tattoo now has three lines that depict the three lives she has got to kill the serial killer, who was responsible for Amutha’s death, the same girl who’s ash was mixed with her tattoo. Amutha wants Swapna to fight the killer, and she, along with Kalama, overcomes her fears to put the attacker on his death.
