Created by Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus, ‘The Expanse’ is an American Science Fiction Television series that is a digital adaptation of a novel series, written by James S. A. Corey and titled under the same name. The show made its debut in the television industry in December 2015 and is currently airing its fifth episode. It revolves around a plot that has been set in the future and holds descriptions about humanity colonizing the Solar System completely. It has successfully received positive critical acclaim for the kind of visuals and themes it beholds and displays. The series got renewed for a sixth season back in November 2020, which will also serve as the final season of the show. The show is available for online streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Season 5 Episode 9 Preview
The ninth episode of the season will serve as a penultimate before the show puts an end to the adventures. The episode is titled ‘Winnipesaukee’, which was mentioned in the context of Amos and Clarissa in the last episode as a place where the duo could escape Earth. Clarissa is well versed with the rich and wealthy lifestyle, and she is also aware of the importance of the place, where the two could actually execute their plan. From the title, we get a clear idea of what the two are up to, but we aren’t really sure of everyone else. Because for now, everybody seems to be trapped amidst some chaos or the other. Avasarala is confused and is keen on finding a way where she could flex her political muscles amidst a huge opposition.
Drummer still has a lot going on in her life, and she has to figure out a way to manage the grief that is taking upon her. And not to forget, Naomi Nagata can actually save up lives and offer hope with her newly distressed call, only if everyone is willing to believe that it’s actually her. The current season has served as a perfect example of depicting dystopia in a realistic way that results in the rising of a totally new life here.

At present, we feel that we are on the verge of witnessing a galactic war between the Belters, Mars, and Earth. If there’s even one wrong move, it could result in massive destruction of life altogether. Maybe the plot is steadily moving there, or it might be the case that the dam has already been shattered. We never know. Yet there’s Chrisjen and more like him who are willing to save all the innocent people from the massive destruction that might arise. Marco and Chrisjen are shown in total contradiction. On the one hand, where Chrisjen is shown as someone who’s willing to save people, Marco is someone who is merciless, or atleast he has made himself up to be so in his strive of the Free Navy’s eventual dominance.
So the questions that arise are-Will anyone be able to stop Marco? Will Drummer be able to defeat him? Is it possible for the Reci crew to unite before we head towards the end of Season 5? There are so many questions that have remained unanswered, and we hope they’re are resolved before Season 5 comes to an end.
‘The Expanse’ stars Thomas Jane as Joe Miller, Steven Strait as James Holden, Dominique Tipper as Naomi Nagata, Cas Anvar as Alex Kamal, Wes Chatham as Amos Burton, Frankie Adams as Roberta, Keon Alexander as Marco Inaros, Nadine Nicole as Clarissa Melpomene and various others in prominent roles. The fifth season of the show has so far delivered eight episodes, with the ninth one scheduled to be dropped on 27 January 2021.
