69 years old Bola Tibubu was born in Osun State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian politician and a national leader of the All progressive congress. He served as the Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007. Tinubu kicked off his political career in 1992 by joining the Social Democratic party as a member of the Peoples Front faction. In the 1999 elections, he on the AD ticket stood for the position of senator of Lagos State. He was elected as the Governor, and in his 8 years tenure, he worked tirelessly towards the betterment of his people. Tinubu made investments in education, road construction, and various other things. He became the public’s favorite and consequently was re-elected as the Governor in the 2003 elections.
His tenure ended in 2007, and he was succeeded by a candidate of Action Congress. After his tenure ended, he was accused of corruption and went for a trial over the alleged illegal operation of 16 separate foreign accounts. However, he was not found guilty of any wrongdoings and was cleared of all charges in 2009. The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo- Olu, visited Tinubu at his residence in Abuja. The photos from his visit went viral and also denied all the false rumors about the former Governor Bola Tinibu. After his media advisor Tunde Rahman on 1st August also in a statement confirmed that Tinubi is alive and healthy without any medical problem. He also said that Tinubu is currently out of the country and will be back soon. The rumor was that Tinubu, after being hospitalized in London, passed away.
Well, it turns out that the news was actually a rumor and not the truth. He is widely reported to be interested in the presidency of the country as many feel he will be the presidential candidate of the ruling party of Nigeria.
