Argentine star Paulo Dybala is out of contract at Juventus at the end of this season. It was announced already that the two parties would part ways. However, the 28-year-old could not hold back his emotions in his last home match for the club. At the final whistle, Paulo Dybala was visibly in tears. The game marked his last home game for the Bianconeri. The player reportedly failed to reach a contract agreement with the club. He joined the Turin club in 2015. Juventus has won the Serie A title 5 times since then.

Veteran Giorgio Chiellini will also leave the Bianconeri. Chiellini will go down as one of the finest servants in the club’s history. Unlike Dybala, his departure was a mutual one. Rather than a failed negotiation, the player desired to try new pastures. Both Chiellini and Dybala are the two longest-serving members of the current Juventus squad.

Juventus were up against Lazio at the Allianz Stadium. New star Dušan Vlahović put the home side in the lead. Furthermore, he celebrated the goal with the iconic Dybala mask gesture. After scoring one more and conceding one, Juventus were set for a 2-1 win. However, Sergej Milinković scored a very late equalizer in the 96th minute. The match finished 2-2, with the Dybala and Chiellini getting their deserved send-off.

Notably, Dybala has scored 68 goals at Juventus’ home ground. That is the highest tally ever achieved by any player in that stadium. Paulo Dybala was in tears while saying goodbye to the Turin faithful. Safe to say, they will remember him very fondly in these parts. However, both Chiellini and Dybala will hope to end their Juve careers with a win.

Paulo Dybala’s possible future destinations

Paulo Dybala was in tears at his final home game for Juventus. This suggests he might not have wanted to leave the club. However, an agreement never looked close. Thus, the mercurial Argentine will be playing for a new club next season. Both Arsenal and Tottenham are possible destinations for the center forward. Dybala was very close to a North-London move in the past as well. However, Spanish club Atletico Madrid seems like a more likely destination. Especially with the departure of Luis Suarez, Simeone will be looking for a new striker. Still only 28, Dybala will be giving it a nice thought before making his next move. However, Chiellini is at the end of his career. He is currently 37 and is likely to move to the MLS.
