Black Panther

T’Challa struggled in the first movie to juggle his duties as king and superhero, as well as deal with his adversary Erik Killmonger, who threatened to topple him and expose Wakanda to the outside world. The movie concluded with T’Challa decisively opening Wakanda’s gates to the outside world after beating Killmonger.

The character Namor the Sub-Mariner, a strong Atlantean and regular foe of the Black Panther in the comics, is also reported to appear in the sequel. An “Atlantis” character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be introduced for the first time thanks to Namor’s presence.

The innovative and culturally significant story of Black Panther is continued in Black Panther 2, which will be released in May 2022 and is expected to be a smash hit.

Black Panther 2 Movie Plot

Wakanda’s government is in trouble. The Black Panther and king of Wakanda, T’Challa, is in critical condition, and his sister Shuri is working feverishly to find a cure. Erik Killmonger damaged the “heart-shaped plant,” which, according to Shuri, is the secret to saving T’Challa. Prior to T’Challa’s demise, Shuri tries to create the plant using synthesis, but she is unsuccessful.

Black Panther

One year later, other countries are pressuring Wakanda to share its vibranium, and some people are attempting to take it by force. In an effort to create a new Black Panther to defend Wakanda, Queen Ramonda begs Shuri to continue her research on the heart-shaped herb, but Shuri declines, considering the Black Panther to be a mythical person from the past.

A vibranium-detecting device is being used by the CIA, the Atlantic Ocean, and U.S. Navy SEALs to find a potential vibranium deposit underwater. A troop of superhumans with blue skin and the capacity to breathe underwater, led by Namor, attacks the mission and ends it. Mistakenly assuming Wakanda was behind the attack, the CIA.

Namor approaches Ramonda and Shuri by getting over Wakanda’s advanced defenses. He accuses Wakanda of creating the vibranium race and issues them with a threat to strike until they hand up the scientist behind the vibranium-detecting device. Shuri and Okoye travel to the MIT campus to confront the scientist there after learning that she is MIT student Riri Williams via CIA agent Everett K. Ross. The FBI and Namor’s warriors are after the gang, and after Okoye is defeated, Shuri and Williams are taken underwater to meet Namor.

Ramonda deprives Okoye of her leadership over the Dora Milaje as retaliation for her inability to defend Shuri and seeks out Nakia, who has been residing in Haiti since the Blip. Namor reveals to Shuri the vibranium-rich underwater kingdom of Talokan, which has long been hidden from human discovery.

Namor, who is enraged with the surface world for enslaving the Maya, suggests an alliance with Wakanda against the rest of the world, but if they reject him, he threatens to wipe them out. Ramonda drowns while trying to save Williams during Namor’s raid on Wakanda after Nakia has assisted Shuri and Williams in escaping. Wakandans flee to the Jabari mountains for protection when Namor makes a promise to return with his entire army. Meanwhile, Ross is detained for secretly transferring top-secret information with the Wakandans to his ex-wife, CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

Shuri recreates the heart-shaped herb after Ramonda’s funeral using a piece of the herb that gave Namor’s people their superhuman abilities. She consumes it and gains superhuman skills, meeting Killmonger on the Ancestral Plane as a result. Shuri dons a new Black Panther outfit as Killmonger exhorts her to exact retribution. The other Wakandan tribes recognize her as the Black Panther, and despite M’Baku’s pleas for peace, she is adamant about exacting revenge on Namor for the murder of Ramonda. She directs Talokan to launch an urgent response.
